Day Spaces

£20 per 4-hour block session

Day spaces are available to artists with some previous experience in ceramics who would like to develop their skills independently on an ad-hoc basis with no monthly commitments. When you book a Day space you will have access to hand-building and throwing workshop facilities within a welcoming communal space. Day spaces are especially suitable for beginners considering an extracurricular approach in their personal journey with clay. Day space sessions are available on Mondays and Thursdays.

Tutorials available: tutorials can be booked by the hour for an individual or if you would like to have a technician on hand this can also be booked by the hour.

If you have no experience at all in clay we suggest it would be more beneficial to attend one of our classes or workshops before considering booking a day space.

What’s included: -

• 4-hour block sessions available to book on a Monday or Thursday 9am – 5pm
• Allocated table space
• Access to Dayspace workshop facilities incl: electric potter’s wheels, Bernard Leach traditional Kick wheel, slab roller, wall mounted clay extruder and storage for work in progress
• Firing service (charged separately – see T&C’s)
• Access to amenities incl. sinks, toilets, and electric sockets
• Free WIFI
• Staff member present if you have any general questions
• Materials shop for new or reduced price reclaimed clay, brush on glazes and decorating slips.
• Wheelchair access via a ramp (please contact us relating to accessibility)
• Free off-street parking
• Area for locking bicycles
• Located in a secure gated trading estate
• 0.3 Miles to Lawrence Hill Train Station
• Approx. 1.5 Miles to city centre

Please note: : Maze Studios aim is to provide an affordable development space specifically for makers to explore and learn new skills. Maze Studios does not support individual commercial ventures dependent on deadlines or sales volumes.
