Silver Studio Membership

£120 per month
(1 months refundable deposit + 1 months commitment)

Silver studio memberships are for artists with some previous experience in ceramics who would like more time to develop their skills independently. A Silver studio membership provides part-time access to our extensive workshop facilities within our welcoming communal space.

If you have very little experience in clay we suggest it would be more beneficial to either attend one of our classes/workshops or experiment further during a day space booking before considering a silver studio membership.

What’s included: -

• Allocated table space
• 15 hrs per week access
  • Mon 6pm – 9pm
  • Tue 9am – 9pm
  • Wed 9am – 9pm
  • Thu 6pm – 9pm
  • Fri 9am – 9pm
• Access to all Silver Studio Membership workshop facilities incl: electric potter’s wheels, Bernard Leach traditional Kick wheel, slab roller, wall mounted clay extruder and fully-equipped glaze room
• Firing service (charged separately – see T&C’s)
• Health & Safety inductions for each workshop area
• Access to 1:1 tuition (charged separately)
• Allotted storage incl. 2 shelves to store work in progress, tools & clay etc. and extra storage for glaze materials
• Access to amenities incl. sinks, toilets, kitchen facilities and electric sockets
• Free WIFI
• Materials shop for new or reduced price reclaimed clay, brush on glazes and decorating slips
• Wheelchair access via a ramp (please contact us relating to accessibility)
• Free off-street parking
• Area for locking bicycles
• Located in a secure gated trading estate
• 0.3 Miles to Lawrence Hill Train Station
• Approx. 1.5 Miles to city centre

Please note: Maze Studios aim is to provide an affordable development space specifically for makers to explore and learn new skills. Maze Studios does not support individual commercial ventures dependent on deadlines or sales volumes.

Applying for a studio membership shouldn’t have to feel daunting, we look forward to welcoming you into the space and for you to develop your knowledge and experience.

How to apply for Silver studio membership:

1. Follow the link to apply. Please fill in and return the few introductory questions, including up to five photos of work.
2. Once we receive your email we will then contact you to arrange a studio visit.
3. After your studio visit we will contact you regarding availability of silver studio membership.

The studios do not operate a waiting list. Studio membership spaces are offered (Subjectively to create an overall balanced level of artist experience and artistic direction within the studios). Information will be sent out when studio spaces become available.

Silver memberships start at the beginning of a given month. Once membership has been confirmed we will arrange a date with you for your studio induction.
