Gold Studio Membership

£150 per month
(1 months refundable deposit + 2 months commitment)

Gold studio memberships are for artists with previous experience in ceramics who can work independently and would like to have more time and space to focus on their creative development. A Gold studio membership provides full-time access to our extensive workshop facilities as well as an allocated cubicle space.

• An allocated studio space (incl. table)
• 24/7 access
• Access to all Gold Studio Membership workshop facilities incl: electric potter’s wheels, Bernard Leach traditional Kick wheel, slab roller, wall mounted clay extruder, fully-equipped glaze room, plaster room and lathes
• Allotted storage incl. a whole shelving unit, an extra shelf for clay, raw glaze materials storage plus outside space for clay reclaim
• Health & Safety inductions for each workshop area
• Access to 1:1 tuition (charged separately)
• Kiln firing service at discounted in-house prices
• A large communal tablespace area
• Access to amenities incl. sinks, toilets, kitchen facilities and electric sockets

• Materials shop for new or reduced price reclaimed clay, brush on glazes and decorating slips

Please note: Maze Studios aim is to provide an affordable development space specifically for makers to explore and learn new skills. Maze Studios does not support individual commercial ventures dependent on deadlines or sales volumes.

How to apply for Gold studio membership:

1. Follow the link to apply. Please fill in and return the few introductory questions, including up to five photos of your work.
2. Once we receive your email we will then contact you to arrange a studio visit.
3. After your studio visit we will contact you regarding availability of a studio space.

The studios do not operate a waiting list. Studio membership spaces are offered subjectively to create an overall balanced level of artist experience and artistic direction within the studios. Information will be sent out when studio spaces become available.

Gold membership can start at any time of the month. We will arrange a date with you for a studio induction.
